IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Basketball Select-A-Seat Nights Rescheduled for November 7-9

ALBANY, N.Y. – Season ticket deposits for the highly anticipated 2023-24 UAlbany men’s and women’s basketball seasons are now being accepted. In addition, special “Select-a-Seat” nights have been scheduled for early November.

Fans should note that due to regulations surrounding the Certificate of Occupancy in Broadview Center, Select-a-Seat nights have been rescheduled for Nov. 7 for women’s basketball and Nov. 8 and 9 for men’s basketball. In addition, the deposit deadline has been pushed back to Oct. 27. Broadview Center construction is still expected to be completed as originally scheduled. 

The 2023-24 campaign will welcome the official opening of the new and improved Broadview Center, which has undergone a complete rebuild over the past calendar year. Due to the transformational overhaul Broadview Center has seen, a total rebuild from the ground up, UAlbany fans are highly encouraged to partake in the new Select-a-Seat night to see the new home of the Great Danes and to ensure their favorite seats are chosen. 

Deposits are set at $100 per seat for men’s season tickets and $75 per seat for women’s season tickets. Fans looking to put their deposits down can do so online.

Join fellow Great Dane fans for a night of light fare and refreshments while exploring all new seat locations, sight lines, and hospitality areas. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. on all three nights for fans to explore the new arena, with scheduled seat selections appointments beginning promptly at 5:30 p.m. Full details can be found below.

• Women’s basketball Select-a-Seat night has been rescheduled for Nov. 7.
• Men’s basketball Select-a-Seat nights have been rescheduled for Nov. 8 and 9. 

How it Works 

• To be eligible to participate in Select-a-Seat nights, fans must first put in their season ticket deposits to the UAlbany Ticket Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27.

• Seat Selection order will be determined in advance based on Great Dane Athletic Club (GDAC) priority point ranking. GDAC members receive points for season ticket purchases, athletic related giving, and loyalty to UAlbany Athletics. Click here for the priority point formula. The UAlbany Ticket Office will send an email to all season ticket holders in advance that outlines their current ranking. Fans can improve their ranking, and pick number, by making additional donations to the GDAC. To make an additional unrestricted donation, click here. 
• Based on priority points, season ticket holders will be provided a two (2) minute window to select their seats before the next donor on the priority list will be allowed to choose their location(s). Selections are not required to take place within the provided window but are highly encouraged to ensure those with higher priority are able to reserve their seats first.
• All available seats are identified by a sheet of paper with the respective preferred seating amount. Fans will officially select their seats by removing the paper from the seat and bringing it a Ticket Office representative on the court. At this time, the preferred seating amount must be paid in full to have the seat(s) officially reserved.
• Fans who place deposits after the Oct. 27 deadline, but ahead of the designated Select-a-Seat nights, will still be able to participate, however, will not receive any priority and will be placed at the end of the selection order list.
• Fans who are not available to attend Select-a-Seat nights may send a proxy in their place. For any questions regarding a proxy, contact the Ticket Office.
